NCABR launched this new offering in 2025 to fill an important gap in the education of scientists and students about the welfare of the animal experiment. The goal of this periodic conference series is to promote the important concepts of translational value, rigor and reproducibility in animal research.
This national conference, presented by NCABR and the New England Society for Biomedical Research, focuses on the Three I’s: Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees, Institutional Biosafety Committees, and Institutional Review Boards. It brings together professionals in compliance, research oversight, security, government relations, law and policy to review the latest information in research ethics, safety and compliance.
NCABR’s IACUC conferences focus on best practices for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees throughout the bioscience industry. IACUC administrative personnel, as well as researchers and animal care staff and support personnel, converge to learn about the fundamentals of animal care and use programs and advanced topics in the field.
We host Member Conversations periodically to address timely topics among our stakeholders. These in-person or virtual events are free to member institutions and their associated personnel.
